This Privacy Policy explains how Heyluno obtains, uses and discloses your personal information, by the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act(“POPIA”)


When using Heyluno platforms, you trust that we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is collected and used lawfully and transparently.


It is of utmost importance that you read this Privacy Policy carefully together with our Terms and Conditions before registering to use our services.

1. Definitions

1.1. “Heyluno”, “we”, “our”, and/or “us” refers to the owner and operator of the software application, Heyluno (Pty) Ltd a private limited company registered under the South African Companies Act 71 of 2008 with registration 2022/ 854858/07.

1.2. “Platfoms” refers to the Heyluno website and the heyluno client portal.

1.3. “Customer”, “you”, “your” and/or “user” refers to anyone who has registered to use the Heylunoplatforms.

1.4. “Business days” refers to days during the week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

1.5. “POPIA” refers to the Protection of Personal Information of South Africa, more about it here POPIA ACT

1.6. “Personal Information” means information relating to an identifiable, living, natural person, and where it is applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person.

1.7. “Minor” refers to any natural person under the age of 18.

2. Information we collect

2.1. Heyluno collects the following information from the user:

• First name

• Last name

• Email address

• Mobile phone number

• Physical address

2.2. This information is collected and used to deliver our service to the user as accurately as possible.

2.3. We do not collect users’ card details during the payment process.

3. Why we collect your personal information

3.1. To fulfil our contractual obligation to you when you have made a booking.

3.2. Communicate with you regarding our platforms and provide you with information, products or services, including billing, customer support, resolving complaints and quality control.

3.3. Notify you about changes to our platforms, services and products, terms and conditions, privacy policy or notices, and any other changes that impact our platforms, services and products.

3.4. Get feedback from you on which we need to develop our products and services and grow our business.

3.5. Undertake research and statistical purposes. The research and statistics we get from this process do not include your personal information and cannot be linked to you, nor can you be identified from these statistics.

4. Information Security

4.1. We are legally obliged to provide adequate protection for the personal information we hold and to stop unauthorized access and use of personal information.

4.2. We will, on an ongoing basis, continue to review our security controls and related processes to ensure that your personal information remains secure.

4.3. Our security policies and procedures cover:

• Physical security;

• Computer and network security;

• Access to personal information;

• Secure communications;

• Security in contracting out activities or functions;

• Retention and disposal of information;

• Acceptable usage of personal information;

• Governance and regulatory issues;

• Monitoring access and usage of private information;

4.4. Our security measures do not cover a case where you share your information with a third party. Heyluno will not be held liable for any information you share with a third party.

5. Correction of information

5.1. Should your personal information change or wish to amend and/or correct personal information, you can do this by updating your registered information on the client portal.

6. Disclosure of information

6.1. We may disclose your personal information to our employees and staff who are involved in the delivery of services to you. We have agreements in place to ensure that they comply with the privacy requirements as required by the POPIA.

6.2. Furthermore, we may disclose your information:

• Where we have a duty or a right to disclose in terms of law or industry codes;

• Where we believe it is necessary to protect our rights;

• Where we are going through a merger, sale or joint-venture, we may be required to share information with a third party.;

• Where we have a third party providing us with a service (fraud prevention, marketing, payments etc.). However, our contracts dictate that these service providers may only use your personal information in connection with the services they perform for us and not for their benefit or any other purpose, and must treat such information as confidential information;

7. Access to information

7.1. You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

7.3. A certified copy of your ID will be required to verify your identity.

7.4. Also note that such access requests may be subject to payment of a legally allowed fee

8.1. Cookies are small text files that are stored on browsers or devices by websites, apps, online media, and advertisements.

8.2. Heyluno uses cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:

• Authenticating users on our platforms;

• Storing user preferences to enhance the user experience;

• Analyzing site traffic and trends, and generally understanding the online behaviours and interests of people who interact with our services;

8.3. We may also allow others to provide audience measurement and analytics services for us, to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet, and track and report on the performance of those advertisements. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and other technologies to identify the devices used by visitors to our websites, as well as when they visit other online sites and services.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

10. Data Retention

10.1. Heyluno retains user data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above.

10.2. By using our services, you consent to us retaining records of your personal information for no longer than may be necessary to achieve the purpose for which the information was initially collected.

10.3. You may request the deletion of your account at any time through the client portal.

10.4. After requesting for deletion, we delete your account and data unless they must be retained due to legal or regulatory requirements.

9. Links to Other Sites

Should you have any complaints about this Privacy Policy or our compliance with this Privacy Policy you can lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

12.1. We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

12.2. It is your responsibility to ensure your personal information is up to date to receive such communication from us.

12.3. This policy is effective as of 2022-12-21.
